On behalf of Organizational Committee and myself I am pleased to invite you to take part in XI International Congress of Polish Society of Allergology „30 Years of Polish Allergology”, which will be held on 12-15 September 2012 in Ossa, Poland.
30 years of Polish Allergology is a long and short time at the same time. During this time we witnessed a breakthrough in understanding the mechanism and thus treating and diagnosis of allergological diseases. In the last 30 years the number of specialist in allergology has risen considerably; the effectiveness of medicals and new methods of therapy allow our patients achieve better standard of living with allergy than it was 30 years ago. On the other hand 30 years is not a long time because Polish and world allergology faces many challenges. It is believed that we can reach even more to solve our main problems – early allergy diagnosis and treatment, severe asthma, unusual cases.
XI International Congress of Polish Society of Allergology is the fabulous opportunity to draw attention to the fact that PTA, established in 1982, for 30 years has been actively participating in allergology development. PTA as a member of WAO, EAACI, takes an active part in medical activities of these organizations. PTA co-operates with WHO, is founder of GARD. Our great success and the proof of trust was hosting of the XXVIII Congress of EAACI in 2009.
Eye witness of extremely dynamic development of PTA. International cooperation with WAO, EAACI, WHO has never been so close. Thanks to your commitment our activity has every chance to continue and grow stronger.
Thanks to heritage of our Society Poland today introduces the problem of allergology in to the heart of European Union Council. Effect of this activity is Conference organized for all the memberstates of EU, European Commission and many international NGO’s entitled “Prevention and control of childhood asthma and allergy in the EU from the public health point of view: urgent need to fill the gaps” and project of European Union Council Conclusion devoted to noncommunicable respiratory diseases – the most important document about which European allergologists could only dream and created by our Society. Once again Poland will host well-recognized allergologist of our continent. But the most important is the fact, that we will be able to transform our ideas into political projects possible to implement to all EU.
Next big event is GARD General Meeting attracting to our country the representatives of global community. This WHO initiative is being perfectly continued by our Society. We can say that in 2011 Poland became a European and World center of health policy in terms of allergology and asthma.
That’s all thanks to generations of allergologists working constantly for 30 years resolving big and small problems of our patients, organizing specialist environment and medical research. I strongly recommend that all specialist and those who want to join us, take part XI International Congress of Polish Society of Allergology at 30 anniversary of Society, to sum up our heritage, and set new direction for allergology in Poland.

On behalf of Scientific Committee and myself I am pleased to invite you to take part in the largest allergological Conference in our country – XI International Congress of Polish Society of Allergology „30 Years of Polish Allergology”, which will be held on 12-15 September 2012 in Ossa, Poland.
The main topic of the Congress will be 30 years of Polish Allergology. 30 years ago a group of 200 doctors interested in integrating allergological environment created PTA. Today PTA has 1800 members and is one of the most recognized and active medical societies in Poland and apart from that a partner of international organizations and medical institutions.
It would not be possible without frequent meetings of our society which PTA Congresses and Conferences has become. PTA congresses are the main platform for exchanging ideas and experiences. Without congresses the integration of our society would not be possible and the fight against allergological diseases would not be as successful as it is.
I believe that next XI International Congress of Polish Society of Allergology will be as great as its previous editions. Both committees – Scientific and Organizational, will provide a scientific programme which will satisfy your needs and expectations. High standard of the scientific programme will be guaranteed by Executive Committee and PTA sections. The Congress will be attended by the best lecturers from Poland and abroad, people of great knowledge and didactic talent. Apart from them we strongly count on participation of young generation of allergologists, who are ment to provide long lasting development of Polish allergology in the next couple of years.
I believe that XI International Congress of Polish Society of Allergology will become a great well remembered event of Polish allergology and will be as successful as its previous editions.
